Who this course is for
This course is for beginners who want to learn Maltese with English as the support language. It is a good fit if you are starting from the first useful words and sentences, or if you already know a little Maltese and want a calm, structured A1 path with audio.
Maltese is currently available at A1 only. A2, B1, and other support languages are not included yet.
What the Maltese A1 course includes
The course uses the same five modules as the rest of Passive Language Learning, with English translations and Maltese audio throughout:
- Vocabulary — 664 Maltese entries with English support, each with a headword, an example sentence, and audio.
- Essential Grammar — beginner sentence patterns such as questions, negation, and everyday structures.
- Verb Trainer — common present-tense forms and short example sentences.
- Fluency Booster — connected A1 sentences for listening and recognition.
- Short Stories — short beginner stories with English support, sentence audio, and full-story audio.
English support and listening practice
You see Maltese first, then use English to confirm meaning. Audio is available for vocabulary, grammar, verbs, fluency sentences, and stories, so you can listen as you read. The audio is computer-generated, not recorded by human speakers.
